Nintendo Switch Games Coming 2019
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Nintendo will be introducing a new version of its popular Switch console next year.
The report says that the move comes as Nintendo hopes to boost sales momentum of the Switch, which has dropped off since its meteoric launch. It’s claimed that this new model would “likely share many features with the current version and be compatible with existing Switch game software.”

It also says that Nintendo “is still debating what new hardware and software features to include in the upgrade”, with one option on the table being an upgraded screen, closer to those found in “more recent smartphone LCDs”, which would “make it brighter, thinner and more energy-efficient”.

Mineko's Night Market
List Of Nintendo Switch Games Coming Out
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Adventure / Simulation
If you are incapable of watching the above Mineko's Night Market trailer and suppressing squeaks at all the adorable kitties it contains, this isn't a game for you. It's basically a kind of game like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, where you explore, craft, oh and breed cats. The cute little balls of fluff will follow you around as you play as Mineko who's just moved to Mount Fugu Island, and is also accompanied by her giant cat-like friend Abe. Together, you'll gather resources and craft items to sell at your market stall, play loads of mini-games, and of course, befriend kittens. Lots and lots and lots of kitties. Sounds rather wonderful, doesn't it?
My Friend Pedro
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Action
Imagine you were an assassin armed wtih dual pistols, awesome ballet-style dance moves that'll have you twirling through the air as you fire off round after round, and you were guided by a self-aware banana called Pedro. Well, there's a game that encapsulates all that and it's called My Friend Pedro. It looks utterly mental, and combines side-scrolling, gun-touting action with aerial acrobatics for an effect that looks like the result of someone cross-breeding OlliOlli with Hotline Miami. It sounds weird, but it works.
Untitled Goose Game
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Stealth
You might think I'm joking when I say there's a Switch title coming out in 2019 called the Untitled Goose Game, but that's actually what it's called. Being untitled is the entire title, and it's just a hint at how brilliant this game is going to be. Brilliantly odd, and brilliantly tactical. You play as the titular goose, who happens to be an absolute meanie, who tries to steal things from the villagers and cause general havoc, without said villagers whacking you with a broom or otherwise escorting you from their property. You'll be tasked with things like 'doing the washing', aka dunking someone's entire basket of clean clothes in the pond, bra and all. It's mischievous, fun and utterly adorable, plus it requires you to be stealthy AF. What's not to love?
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Adventure
The clue is pretty much in the title. It's a brand new remastering of the Game Boy classic title, originally released more than 25 years ago. But it's not just any remastering, it's being totally overhauled with a new, rather adorable, art style, and is coming to Switch exclusively sometime this year. It's not going to be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild all over again, but it is going to tug hard on the nostalgia heart strings in the best way.
Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Point-and-click adventure
This originally episodically released game first hit PC in 2013, but will land on Nintendo Switch as a complete package in early 2018 with all five episodes. It tells a tale about a truck driver called Conway who’s travelling along a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky and the people he meets. He’s trying to get to the fictional Route Zero to make his final delivery, but his journey is proving to be quite eventful.
Shovel Knight: King of Cards
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Platformer
You probably already know that Shovel Knight is one of the best Nintendo Switch games, but you might not know that you’re about to get more Shovel Knight on Switch. That comes in the form of Shovel Knight: King of Cards, which is the final adventure in the Treasure Trove saga. You’ll play as King Knight as you fight your way across four never before seen worlds and 30 fresh courses with some new moves to boot, including a high flying spin. It all looks and sounds very regal indeed.
Terraria
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Action/Survival
Terraria, a bit like Minecraft, is one of those games that's on every platform possible. And for good reasons too. Terraria is a brilliant 2D sandbox game that tasks you with surviving in a procedurally generated world with nothing but a few basic tools to start out with. But the more you play, the cleverer you get and learn what you need to do to survive. It's addictive and brilliant.
Animal Crossing Switch
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Simulation
Nintendo Switch Games 2019 Pokemon
It's Animal Crossing folks, need we say more? It's been six long years since Animal Crossing: New Leaf hit 3DS consoles, and I know we've had home decorating, party game, amiibo card, figure focused spin-offs since then, but it's more than time for another entry in the core series. All we've had so far is the above trailer, featuring our old pal Tom Nook, no doubt already setting you up with a Bell Direct Debit for the house he's going to sell you. I for one can't wait to start saving though.
Luigi's Mansion 3
Release date: TBC 2019
Genre: Action
Luigi's Mansion titles have always been incredibly well received thanks to their awesome Luigi-themed, ghost-sucking gameplay - it's basically Ninty Ghostbusters - and now we're getting a Switch version. Remember when Nintendo 'killed' Luigi? Well, apparently it was the big tease for this! Does that make Luigi a ghost too now? Confusing. For now, Ninty is keeping the specific details about Luigi's Mansion 3 (a working title by the way) on the downlow, but there is a little trailer showing another haunted house and our second favourite plumber wielding his vacuum cleaner.
7 Billion Humans
Release date: TBC
Genre: Simulator
For anyone who's played Tomorrow Corp's Human Resource Machine, this will be quite the boon as its the direct sequel. Robots have taken over every single job in the world, leaving humanity to do nothing else but twiddle their thumbs and waste away into poverty. But the machines have had a brainwave and are giving all seven billion members of humanity a job in one massive office block, and it's up to you to manage them. Sounds easy, right?

Bayonetta 3
Release date: TBC
Genre: Action
That's right! The Witch is back and she's coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. It's currently in development over at PlatinumGames, but for now that's all anyone's willing to tell us. There's the teaser trailer that you can watch above, which features magic, bullets and Bayonetta herself, but until we get some more details that's all we're getting.
